Why do we really do random acts of kindness?

We often hear the phrase “random acts of kindness”, it is a relatively well-known concept. When you think about the times you’ve practiced random acts of kindness, what are some past practices that come to mind?

I found myself thinking about this question as I wrote this post because it’s an interesting one to ask, “When did I give something without expecting anything in return?

A little too often, I find it difficult to spread light and positivity when I don’t get the same in return. I go on sprinkling my love and my kindness, and I even end up feeling silly when I don’t get treated the same. But one lovely summer afternoon, my very wise teacher told me – we should operate from happiness, and not for happiness, and treat people with no expectations of being treated the same. Spread love. Don’t always do it for…

Women Mathematicians

If you are looking for some inspiration to purse mathematics or maybe any STEM field as a woman, then these are the brilliant women you can seek inspiration from!

The above list of women make you feel that one day will come when we will finally witness gender equality and respect in true sense!

Some people feel their country is better than other’s country, their gender is “super”ior than other genders, their race, caste, creed is better than others’, but the main point is thinking that every person, regardless of race, gender, caste, creed, religion, atheist or non-atheist, skin colour, size, age, *physical, mental or emotional strength* SHOULD be considered Equal, where equality in the fields of *…* is purely subjective!

The above are the places that are considered safe and secure for women travelling and for living. I hope one day, maybe after many many many years, India is considered in the above list too.

I want to think, that women do not have to think so much before travelling alone or after evening and make beautiful moments! I want to visualise that world… 🩸🩸🩸

May that day comes…

STAY HAPPY AND FIND HAPPINESS, IN WHICHEVER PLACE OF REISDENCE YOU WANT TO BE AT ANY TIME! TIME IS RUNNING EVERY MOMENT VERY QUICKLY… Right?! BE CAREFUL AND CAUTIOUS DEAR WOMEN!

Just a Little…/ Little More Single or singled out by past friends

Sometimes we think whether we are at a prestigious place or not?! Sometimes we think and question our worthiness, partly because of what we think about ourselves, partly because someone doesn’t see you as worthy enough as you would like to be perceived?!

Having lots of academic degrees by investing time in universities, having lots of finances to spend it on materialistic gifts on festivals doesn’t make you worthy, your thinking makes you worthy. You need to value yourself, others cannot define your WORTH!

Having said that gaining knowledge (whether with or without going to university) is important. I am not preaching anything against people with lots of degrees and lots of finances, just saying that the IMPORTANT WORD IS THINKING! PERSPECTIVE! UNBIASED APPROACH!

One more thing, that I have noticed is that there are always some people / situations who / which highlight your weakness, there are always some people / situations who / which makes you feel insecure, unappreciated for your healthy ideas, all you can do is try to fight those thoughts in your mind because acknowledge it or not we are always BIASED / INFLUENCED in our opinions by the people surrounding us and always see our worth by the number of people (family, friends, followers) we have in our lives, WHICH SHOULDN’T BE!

But I feel a person is truly great, who has lots of people respecting that person and that person still sees any another person’s worth to be of EQUAL OR MORE EQUAL to himself / herself!

Every day when you wake up just say “wow”, you are alive, you made it yet another day!

P.S.: The above quote belongs to someone else. Help people even if after knowing that you are struggling with finances and life, mock you. Make sure that they are okay after they fall and rise from that fall. Help them clean their store room etc.

Prefer

She prefers to not talk to me, yet her eyes talked to me;

She prefers to be the pure soul she was, yet the world couldn’t let her remain alive;

She prefers to think that “Life is beautiful”, yet the world illustrates its ugliness to her;

She prefers to run for long hours and that too very quickly, yet she couldn’t let go off the intensive emotions flowing in her;

She prefers to be free of the cycle of life and death, yet she is still searching on how to just do it!

P.S.: Firstly, Congratulations to the womanhood!

Congratulations to her preferences!

Congratulations to her choices!

Congratulations to women in all the places of the world!

Congratulations to her struggling yet empowering journey of life, which is still alive!

TO ONE OF THE BRILLIANT CREATIONS IN THIS WORLD, BELATED HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY…

Whether you are a little more singled out, little more secluded, unlike relationships of other people, I just want to say, we are not alone. We have nature to be thankful for, and little things in our most “beautiful life” to be grateful for! Only God can add or remove anything.

Last but not the least, no one can make you feel that you are ZERO or you are ONE!

P.S.: No one can make you feel rich or poor. If you have a basic place of residence, food to eat, clothes to wear, a bicycle to travel, and if you are physically and mentally healthy to do sports like running, then you are not only rich, but super rich!

Cold

In the dreadful cold winters, when the foliage was rough, fighting all the odds,

To comfort them, heal them, the sun rises like halo, a-blazing the sky to worship the January’s cold;

This is v. special phase of the year, when my father was born,

This is v. special month which was named after Janus;

This is v. special month, when two phases of life meet,

When leaves of tree shed, waiting humbly for the spring.

P.S.: A greeting (birthday) card I made long time ago. Time flies fast… Sometimes, there is a need to appreciate our parents more than we actually do. Sometimes, we feel that due to difference in our opinions, we communicate “less” with some family members rather than others (in my case, it’s my father). But that doesn’t mean my love is less for him and more for other people. It means, it gets branched among all the family members, extended family members etc.

Living

If you are living, then you will feel pain and it hit the hardest when you know that some people are not living anymore! They are gone.

“Pain demand to be felt” according to a quote from “The Fault in our Stars” by John Green.

You cannot run from pain, you have to run towards it and with perseverance feel it and deal with it in a “healthy” manner!

Here are some quotes:-

1. “Okay?” “Okay.”

2. “And then there are books…so special and rare and yours that advertising your affection feels like betrayal.”

3. “As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.”

4. “If the inevitability of human oblivion worries you, I encourage you to ignore it. God knows that’s what everyone else does.”

5. “I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.”

6. “The world is not a wish-granting factory.”

7. “‘When the scientists of the future show up at my house with robot eyes and they tell me to try them on, I will tell the scientists to screw off, because I do not want to see a world without him.’”

8. “Some infinities are bigger than other infinities… But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity.”

9. “You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices. I hope she likes hers.”

10. “I do, Augustus. I do.”

11. a.) Gus proposal

I’m in love with you,” he said quietly.

“Augustus,” I said.

“I am,” he said. He was staring at me, and I could see the corners of his eyes crinkling. “I’m in love with you, and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I’m in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we’re all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we’ll ever have, and I am in love with you.

b.) Hazel’s eulogy for Gus

There are infinite numbers between 0 and 1. There’s .1 and .12 and .112 and an infinite collection of others. Of course, there is a bigger infinite set of numbers between 0 and 2, or between 0 and a million. Some infinities are bigger than other infinities. A writer we used to like taught us that. There are days, many of them, when I resent the size of my unbounded set. I want more numbers than I’m likely to get, and God, I want more numbers for Augustus Waters than he got. But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I’m grateful.

c.) Grief does not change you, Hazel. It reveals you.

P.S.: One of my family members died on 19 February, 2020 and we came to know on 20 February, 2020. I’ve realised the importance of life scientifically, emotionally, spiritually.

But you have to be a woman who faces strongly in the face of adversity and say yes to life…
